Geburtstagskönig – wie Wertschätzung von Anfang an gelingen kann
In diesem Blogpost versuche ich zwei Dinge miteinander zu verknüpfen, nämlich eine persönliche Erfahrung und eine wissenschaftliche Erkenntnis.
Ich bin selbst gespannt, ob mir das gelingt. Ausgangspunkt ist der Geburtstag unseres jüngsten Kindes und wie dieser im neuen Kindergarten gefeiert wurde.
Heute bist du der König
Eigentlich hatte ich mir gar keine konkreten Erwartungen gemacht zu diesem Tag. Ich bin irgendwie davon ausgegangen, wir bringen einen Kuchen mit in den Kindergarten, dort wird etwas gefeiert und zusammen Kuchen gegessen, es gibt ein kleines Geschenk für das Kind und fertig.
Aber, es kam ganz anders.
Kuchen haben wir natürlich dabei gehabt. Aber bereits beim Betreten der Garderobe war klar:
Taave ist heute Geburtstagskönig, da hing nämlich dieses niedliche Schild:
Leuchtende Kinderaugen
Und beim Abholen sah ich einen Taave mit leuchtenden Augen. Das war ja gut gelaufen dachte ich mir. Dann fiel mein Blick wieder auf die Garderobe: Dort standen allerlei Dinge:
- eine echte Gerbera, richtig hübsch gebunden mit viel Grün
- ein eingewickeltes Irgendwas in Alufolie
- ein selbstgemachter Knet-Knetsch-Antistressball
- eine selbstgebastelte Krone
Zu Hause war schnell klar: das eingewickelte Irgendwas war auch noch ein selbstgemachter Mini-Gugelhupf-Marmorkuchen.
Ich war beeindruckt: Da war mein Kind, glücklich, stolz, beschwingt und trug mit Stolz seine Krone.
Und ich war berührt: So viel Mühe, so viel Selbstgemachtes, Echtes. Soviel Wertschätzung. Wow!
Das Feedback
Am nächsten Tag habe ich mir als erstes den Erzieher geschnappt und habe meinen Eindruck zurück gemeldet und mich bedankt für so viel Herzblut und Mühe.
Das war gut und hat glaube ich auch beiden Seiten sehr gut getan….und dann, ja dann fiel mir was ein:
Die Studie über Anerkennung
Da war doch was? An was erinnerte mich das Ganze auf der wissenschaftlichen Seite?
Ach ja:
Es gibt eine Studie über den Zusammenhang von Anerkennung in der Schule und Werteentwicklung im Erwachsenenalter.
(Diese kann man hier downloaden).
Ich habe diese Studie schon mal im Zusammenhang mit meiner Arbeit für unsere Leuchtfeuer-Fortbildung verwendet.
Es handelt sich ebenfalls (wie meine Doktorarbeit) um eine Interviewstudie und ganz kurz gesagt ist es so:
Anerkennung in der Schule fördert Werte wie Toleranz und Offenheit und stärkt außerdem die Autonomieentwicklung des Kindes.
Ja, genau, so war das. Natürlich ist es dabei mit einer Geburtstagsfeier nicht getan. Und es müssen nicht immer die großen Dinge sein. Anerkennung geht auch ohne Aufwand.
ABER: an so einem Tag lernen alle Kinder der Kindergartengruppe etwas.
Nämlich dass jeder dazugehört, dass jeder wertvoll ist, dass es schön ist, anderen Wertschätzung entgegen zu bringen und eine Freude zu machen, dass es nicht das riesige Spielzeug sein muss, sondern manchmal auch eine Blume und ein Kuchen sein kann.
Dass jeder mal König sein darf und dass man selbst ein Teil von etwas Größerem ist, ohne dabei verloren zu gehen.
